“What you see is what you don’t get” is a comment posted by one of the users in the United States about this camera.
This basic, entry level digital camera produced surreal pictures, colors were off and saturated, therefore it received quite a lot of raved reviews in the States. On the other hand this baby was embraced by digital lomographers in Asia, they love the color tone of the pictures which created a nostalgic feel to it.
This is the baby with character, on-off takes times, focusing takes time and shutter reaction is slow, but in return of its disability, it gives you very nice lomo feel pictures. Fast gaining reputation as a classic digital lomo camera, the Polaroid a520 is one elusive model to find nowadays and it’s going for a very high price in Japan’s auction sites.
